About Vancouver Titles
The titles for Mr, Ms and Mx/Miss Gay Vancouver BC are selected through a pageant every year in the fall.
What do title holders do?
Titleholders are community ambassadors. We work for the community, by showing up to events, donating our time and raising money to support community organizations.

What you need to know

There can only be one (1) of each title at a time

Apply for the title that you feel you best represent

The winner of the Mx title may choose to use Miss as a legacy title

Each title holder selects the charity or society that they want to fundraise for (can choose multiple)

You can fundraise together with joint events that benefit each selected charity

You can also fundraise individually
-
You reign for a year (Sept-Sept, dates may vary)

How to apply
A candidate interested in serving the community through the Mr/Ms/Mx (or Miss) Gay Vancouver title can apply by following these steps. Candidates must meet a few basic requirements.

Requirements

Title holders are expected to travel to at least 1 distance Coronation at their own expense.

You may fundraise to travel to events.

Because of travel, applicants must be at minimum 21 years old and have a valid passport.

Applicants must also have appropriate attire for official events, such as Imperial Coronation ceremonies.

You can be any gender and run for any title. See our Senate page for a full list of our diverse past title holders.

The title of Mx Gay Vancouver is reserved for Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender-fluid applicants. It was formerly the 'Miss' title, and winners of this title, may choose to use Miss as a legacy title.

Process

Complete an application at https://form.jotform.com/251969270089065 or by application form (PDF)

Submit the form with a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 CAD

DEADLINE to submit will be September 2, 2025, at 11:45 PM.

Each candidate will be interviewed by: 1 past titleholder, 1 member of the public, and members of the Executive.

Approved candidates will have 2 weeks to campaign.

Candidates will then compete in a pageant-style competition that includes a performance and a​ community vote.

Winners sign a code of conduct that outlines expectations while you are representing the RPCF
